question about high idle mod

question about high idle mod

can the switch for the high idle mod be a momentary push button or does it have to be a toggle switch. if i am reading it right it returns to regular idle speed when the brake is pushed. so you do not have to turn it off with the switch.

It needs to be a toggle switch. The brake will disable the high idle, but only momentarily.

It needs a 12v constant source to set the high idle. Once the source is removed, it returns to normal idle.

If you use a toggle switch, touching the brake pedal turns it off. You can leave the switch on, as the only way for the high idle to return, is if it's in park, with the emergency brake applied.

ok thanks guys. i wasn't sure about which switch to get. i found a really small blue led toggle that i think will work great.

I used to just leave it on all the time and anytime I wanted to idle I would just push in the emergency brake, so technically, you don't need a switch at all but I would still use one.
