93 351W Issues
Hello to all first off. I have been around the IDI forum for quite some time now but I have recently picked up a new farm truck thats a gasser so I have come to you all for some advice. The truck is a 93 F-250 4x4 with a C-6. The problem is that the truck has a bad miss on the driver side bank of the engine. I have pulled the plug wires while running and the center two cylinders appear to be not firing all the time. The truck idles just fine but under a load it gets a miss with a "popping/ticking" sound almost like an exhaust leak. I have been unable to locate my compression tester for some odd reason so I have not tested that. I did however hold a dollar bill up to the exhaust while the truck was running and everytime I heard the miss the dollar would get sucked into the pipe. Correct me if I am wrong but that indicates a burnt or stuck valve right?? If so... how should I go about correcting this issue. BTW... Please forgive my ignorance. I have been working on diesels for too long. I believe I have forgotten too much about gassers!!!
