Superchips has something neither Diablo nor BD has: 50 state emisisons legal (CARB certified). You're looking at 40/60-50/70 HP depending on the ECU code. You can go with a single program chip or a Microtuner which gives you two settings plus a diagnostic code reader. Lots of bang for the buck.
Diablo has a huge selection of programs we can offer, plus we can custom tune to your needs. We can do this as a 65HP "all around" plus a higher HP tune for "fun" or whatever combination you want from 30HP all the way up to 100+ HP extreme tuning (provided you have a free flowing exhaust and EGT gauge). We can do this as a 1 program chip, a three stage chip or the new 4 program Predator (tuner, full text diagnostics, live sensor input display and downloadable custom tuning). The Predator is the "cream of the crop" in computer tuning.

i spoke with someone from DB and they told me the pre- 99 PSD are limited to about 50-60 hp chips?
something about, thats all the computer will handle. i have noticed that alot of the chips or programming is down rated for the pre-99. like a 65hp chip would only be 50hp for my application.
i will be running full gauges(be here tomorrow)
3" down pipe and 4" for the rest of the exhaust. and i jus ordered a tymar intake.
i will be towing a car hauler with a fulsize lifted bronco on it .

With the stock downpipe, that's correct. The downpipe is too flat and small to provide enough breathing room. By switching out the exhaust and downpipe and adding an intake kit you can get much more from the earlier Power Strokes. The injectors can also be a limiting factor.

so if i got the superchip micro tuner 60/80hp
with my other mods i would get the full HP upgrade
i agree i like the price of the micro tuner with diagnostic reader built in. now can i leave it plugged in for onboard instant readings?
i was able to get the db chip at cost, that is only 25 less than the micro with 2 settings
