Will the Scan Gauge II monitor EGT? It also looks like theres only one version - as in it is not model specific? Any other tools you guys would reccomend instead? I'm not looking for a tuner.

It's only a gauge, so there would be no potential warranty issues.

I have a Scan Gauge, and it's a great tool but I have no way of making it monitor EGTs. Technically it can be programmed to read any data coming out of the PCM, but there is no list of commands for EGTs for Ford diesels. If you have knowledge of programming you may be able to get it to work, but I gave up!

 

I've had the Edge Insight CTS for about a month now. Great looking, great functioning guage. It will monitor the 6.4L EGTs without having to add a pyrometer. The 6.4 already has one in a good location. Easy 10 minute installation(after the pod has been painted). Like was previously stated, it is just a guage that monitors several paramters without the possibility of voiding the warranty.
