really weird brake problem.
as soon as i was coming to a stop, the pedal was pretty stiff and at the top, like the truck wasnt running. when i was stopped, the pedal was at the top, and it was 'clicking' down. the pedal started at the top, and every second would make a click or small clunk sound and fall maybe a millimeter. and it would do this no matter what pressure i had on the pedal. i could be holding it lightly or really pressing hard. the only difference was the more pressure on the pedal, the louder the clunk is.
luckily, i was only down the road from my buddies shop, so i took it there, put it up on the lift, and looked around. no leaks, nothing. the reservoir was a little low, but i figured that was from me bleeding the rear brakes about 4 months earlier. i just never filled it back up. i pulled the rear wheels and drums, nothings leaking. im stumped, my buddies stumped, it dosent make any sense. what could cause it to not have any "boost" and then fall in such a weird manner? theres no vacuum leaks, booster isnt rusty like the chevys lol. everythings clean. all the brake lines are new, ruubber hoses are new, front calipers are new(er) rear brakes are rebuilt.
FYI: its a 97, front disc rear drum. i dont think it has ABS. if it does, it dosent work and the lights not on.
