anyone know anything about the 4.9 with a mass air flow system i have a 96 and have a bunch of spare parts laying around my buddy put 302 intake tubes and throttle body on his and loved itbut it was wasent mass air flow i have a mas air flow setup for a 302 so i have everything i would need to do this does anyone know if it will run funny or if it will get worse millage im gunna drive it 800 miles next week any tips are needed

So your saying that you have a '96 F-150 with a 4.9L in it correct?
If that's the case then you won't gain anything by putting a '96 F-150 5.0L intake tube on it. They have the same T-body....only it's turned 90* on the 4.9L. The MAF is the same. The only difference is the shape of the tubes going from MAF to T-body and the PCV pipe.
Correct me if I've missunderstood your post.

correct i have a 96 4.9 obdII mass air flow. the throttle bodies on it rite now are 2, 45mm bodies and i have a 302 throttle body that has 2, 55mm bodies. im wondering if this swap is going to kill my gas mileage or make the truck run funny cause it will be pulling alot more air.

As long as you keep your 4.9L MAF on there then it will run fine but I'm not sure what your MPG will do.
