Hey guys I had a quick question.. I tried to search for my answer on the board but got all gas stuff lol... I am looking into a new turbo back exhaust but was wondering if a 4'' or 5" exhaust would be better for my 97 that has a cold air intake and will have rosewood stage one or two ( can't decide) and a DP tuner 100hp performance tune... Also with that setup would it be wise to get a new upgraded HPOP or if a stock HPOP will do the trick...
4" or 5" would be fine. You won't gain any performance from 5". 3" downpipe and 4" exhaust will hold well over 400hp.
A upgraded HPOP is recommended with Stage I or II injectors as you will likely run out of oil at higher RPM's especially with II's, but not really "needed" per-say.
I think the 5" exhaust sounds better, but it's all about your opinion.
Ok thanks I was just wondering if the 4" will hold the power I am debating with out a muffler and of course no cat haha... I guess it comes down to sound...
