well, holidays are over, its back to the flat, straight prairies... I've got to say, if it weren't for wife and kid(s) i'd be putting a for sale sign on the front lawn and head back out to BC. That is one beautiful province...the hills and roads are heaven for a biker. We only scratched the surface of the places to see, but I'll be heading there again!!!!
we left red deer alberta, went into bc through rocky mountain house, saskatchewan river crossing, nordeg, down Rogers Pass into golden then stayed at revelstoke for the first night. From revelstoke we went to casalgar, stayed there a couple of nights and did a few loops in that area, then went on to kelowna. from kelowna back to radium and then back home again. I'd like to import a small percentage of their roads back here to bike on...
When I was trucking there were a few years that I made more BC and Washington miles than Sask miles - I love the scenery!
Havent been out there much in the last few years, we used to go mountain sledding but not for about 4 years or so now!
There are some biking journals, etc that highlight some of the best roads for bikes. The one that comes to mind is the one from Creston north up to the ferry (the old curve around every turn story...). We used to take it the odd time when hauling from Trail heading this way to avoid climbing the Salmo-Creston pass if it was too hot in the summer or too much snow in winter(I hated chaining up).
