I got a 66 f100 and made the dumb mastake of not checking my lug nuts on my alum rims after working on the brakes. well wouldnt u know about 100 miles down the road on my trip to the cabin the rear tire come off and smashed the hole rear quarter i not good at making body pannels so im looking for some help or any parts listing . In the worst case a hole box. any help would be great help . really need to get it back on the road cause i feel so bad having it sit in the shop thanks Mike
the same thing happend to my grandpa's truck after i changed a flat for him.... i was 12 or 13 yo, HE shoulda checked the lug nuts to see if they were tight! I take no blame for that one!
Well i add the pics to my photos if u want to check them out . These were the only pics i got right now they dont show it the best but its got it creakled all the way up to the top body line.Lucky no one got hurt . at first i thought it was the tire on the trailor so at 70mph i started to pull over and right when i turned the wheel to get over the tire went I cant seem to beable to add them to this page . Not the best with web site stuff. Ive checked Lmc and about five ten other web sites trying to find a skin or just panels. and have come up with nothing but step side stuff. I have not even seen fiberglass pieces.
From what I can see that,s not bad at all. I think ya need 25 posts before ya can put them here. Maybe someone will pull them out of your profile and post them here. Get some better, closer ones when ya can. But it looks to me like that should roll out pretty easy. have ya had a body shop look at it for an estimate like for insurance? See what they say. Matching the paint prolly cost more than the body work. And I love yer truck. The paint is way cool.
Mike, sorry to hear about the mishap. I almost had a left year come off but heard the scrunching noise before it was too late. Anyway, I just disassembled a '66 and the box sides are sitting next to my barn. I cut them off along the bed floor which was shot and have everything from the wheel well out on both right and left sides. They are very heavy the way they are but if you can't find anything closer I could trim them down to save weight. Keep it in mind. You're in Michigan and I'm in Oregon so shipping would be a challenge. Steve
Thanks for the link but thats going the wrong direction for me . at least for the time being. Maybe if i find a parts truck for the body pannels i could fab me up a prerunner

Ill keep you in mind cause what u got is what im looking for . I work on the road for natural gas pipe line repair so i am always in a diffrent state or driving thro one. The box side you have are they pretty clean or at least fixable. And they are a long box right . well what u looking to get for both of them . thanks steve
just repair what you have it does not look that bad
I know it dont look that bad but i took it to a body shop (the same guy that did the body before) He says he will do it but it would be a shame to put that much filler in it to make it look good . See what happen is when that tire come off the back half sat on my tire and just about everything from the top of the wheel well got creakled like an accordian so he thinks it wouldnt worth the time fixing with a hammer and mud. (and the fact he guarantee all his work for life) Its hit so hard that it tore the steel up buy the tie down pocket by the cab and left a four in gap between the cab and box . I guess maybe when i get home i can take it to about body shop and see what they think
