I ran across this rig on criagslist today, 1988 Ford F250 Custom the owner says its a "Logger's Special" Never heard of that before. Was it a package from Ford, or...? Seems like a neat rig, but its looks way too nice to have ever been used by a logging company.

by the way, I have no connection to the truck of the the person selling it, just ran across it on criagslist.

LMAO I dont think you will find a logger willing to drive around in a truck that color!
Sorry Had to say that.
Never seen a loggers truck. I would think a loggers truck would be a 1 ton honest. Only think I could see is maybe a heavy duty but not some odd truck.
Shop around....I just bought a 1995 F250 running fine, with just a few minor issues for $1500
The only logger pickups I've seen were crew cab 4x4 trucks. Good for hauling the gear and crew to the work-site. Then the big trucks for actually hauling logs, plus tote the big machinery(fellers, strippers, etc) to the site.
Might have been a mechanics truck..or a gopher truck...if it ever did belong to a logging company.
Probably just calls it that cause it's a Custom, not likely to have any options on it. Good for loggers, no fancy luxury stuff to break.
That makes sense, less to break, less to fix!
Yeah, I agree that it probably was never owned by a logging company, no extra doors, a "mint" interior and no "company yellow" paint! I think I've only seen one old ex logging pickup that wasn't yellow, and I think it WAS yellow before my uncle painted it!
