duel exhaust problems

I have a duel exhaust that exits out the back on either side of my hitch receiver. The left one keeps bending down because the leaf spring keeps hitting the exhaust pipe and bending the bracket when the suspension unloads. I didnt' know the cause of it until i had my tires rotated and they put the truck up on the lift and took all of the weight off of the suspension.

it seems to me i've seen quite a few newer f-150's with a droopy left tailpipe.

I've seen that problem on quite a few trucks. I don't think it's particular to any year and/or model truck.

I had that problem on my 04 so I took it back to the exhaust guy who did it and he was able to move it over like an inch so it would miss it. I do not have exhaust on my 09 yet so I'm not sure if moving it is an option for you or not.

i think moving it is out of the question. It's all custom tubing completely welded. I believe he would have to start from scratch. Once i get a free weekend i'm going to swing by the shop and see if he could just change it to a duel exit just forward of the passenger side tire instead oc redo the entire thing. We shall see!

It's really easy to cut a pipe, make a new section and re-weld it. Unless there's something in the way stopping him from re-routing the pipe there should be no trouble at all. Good luck.

I had a MagnaFlow system put on by a friend who has a muffler shop and no problems here. He may have made an adjustment for springs/shocks whatever. Chris

I just installed the MBRP Dual Rear Exit cat back system with no problems at all and at $390.00 you cant beat it.
