I saw a guy on these forums with a flare side regular cab that he chopped the top. I'm not sure how much but I'm looking for input as far as how hard it was, best way to do it, so on and so forth. I was planning on chopping my truck and putting a rag top sunroof on it as I won't be driving it everyday soon. I bought an extra cab for practice but I'm looking for as many pointers as possible before tackling this task. My buddy has chopped a couple tops already but never a ford truck as "new"(lol) as mine. Any help is greatly appreciated!!! Thanks!! Pics to follow!!!!!
man that truck looks sick! I'm trying to go for a chop about that low but im also exploring the idea of a body drop. my mind is all over the place when it comes to this truck. It was a free gift and alot of the sheet metal is trashed(rust) so its getting replaced anyways. I just gotta find a little direction
I'm bumping this in hopes of some direction. The project is gonna start in about 2 to 4 weeks and I will be buying a camera and taking detailed photos of the project every step of the way. Any help is greatly appreciated!!
x2 on pics man! i wanna see some more low, HP trucks...lifted 4x4's are nice a deff fun, but the 87-91 crowd is too full of the lifted 4x4's, i was gonna go the "2wd off-road" direction with mine like almost all the 2wd guys at the high school do, then i said f**k it im gonna be different and build a tire bunner.. thats how i roll...now
