Does anyone make a bolt on front center console that goes all the way to the dash like the Expeditions? The space in front of the EX console just seems to be wasted space.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o> <o></o> Thanks!<o></o>
I've seen some but they seem to be all home made like this one from a Fire Truck. I'm upgrading mine by laminating the cover & cupholder in wood, photos coming soon. Might build the bridge you are discussing so I can install a CB & an ipod dock there
now that i have a expedition also i really would like to have extra storage..ect in that wasted space.
a later wider console from a 00-up i think expy without the arm rests may work i'll take some masurments. if it is alittle narrower it may work perfect since the excursion has arm rests.
I have always been a fan of the full length center consoles so I find this intriguing. It looks like there are a handful of these consoles (03-05 Expedition) for around $100 (03 EXPEDITION CENTER CONSOLE - eBay (item 290512270997 end time Feb-11-11 10:26:59 PST)). I know exactly where this dealership is, if I end up down in Denver any time in the near future I think I will swing by and take a closer look and get some better pictures.

I bought the excursion you referenced above. When the previous owner switched the center console he did not hook up the rear speakers. So now I'm trying to find an original console to get the speaker connections for the rear speakers. The wife and I let the kids watch a movie and we listen to books on tape or radio on our road trips. So now I only have two front speakers, any ideas on getting the rear speakers to work with the dvd player while we listen to something different up front?

U can probably find the rear radio panel at a junk yard. All rear speakers go through it. I bet the PO just unhooked it when he removed the console. All u need to do is hook it back up and just hide it under the new console.
Now onto the full console. How does it look in the EX? I like the idea if it looks good. But if it looks pieced together, I may not do it. Post some pics if u can or email me some to labman1014 at msn dot com. Tks!!
I may have the circuit board for that rear control/speakers. I unhooked mine, realized the rear speakers were not working, and had a fellow member here give me the wiring diagram. So, I spliced it and now it works. Later, I found that circuit board...oh well.

The console looks great in it. I like it. Much better than the stock console. I will take some pictures and post them tomorrow. It looks like whoever installed it had to do some cutting of the new console. The arm rests still fold down but they are tight. They also removed the garbage bag hook so there is a hole where that was. The color is close but not the same.
