Yeah, thanks, the blue came from POR-15. Was thinking of going with the forest green, but am a Vikings fan in Packer's country and so couldn't do it on principle. Added about four days to the schedule with painting, waiting for drying, painting again, etc...

Next step is to figure out how to get her broken in right...

what coil are you using in that picture? I bought a summit coil a few months back (the 40k volt one).....It lasted a month and died...

That's a pertronix coil to match the hei distributor. Went back and forth a number of times with their tech support before finding the right combo of dist/coil/spark plug wires. I recommend talking to them first, before placing the order. Wires were the hardest to find part (not pictured) and came out way too long, but will work. Because the system is HEI, they recommended taking out the resistor.

Didn't see anything saying it needed one, so i didnt both worrying about it. Nothing happened other than it died and i had to put the stock back in. I returned it and got store credit for it, and walked over to the clearance section and bought a $40 flex-a-lite flex fan for $20. Needless to say i was happy with the outcome of that HAHA

There's quite a few sets for the 390 on summits website, unless you needed a certain set?

BTW i like how the engine turned out color wise, the covers actually do look good the same color, and not chrome like mine.

I took my advice from some post on FTE and a guy who does performance builds in town. Both sugg'd pertronix, so I worked from the dist first.

Didn't solve my problem (engine was tired and cranky) but *should work* now.
