anti freeze
I,m gonna ask a dumb question here but what kinda anti freeze do i get for 2000 mod,3.0 ranger.I went to auto zone and the 2 employees almost got into an argument over which type to use.I have 2 gallons of the green type but not sure if thats what i need,appearently they have 2 or 3 types.Thanks for your time.

Ford currently recommends their G-05 coolant. Not sure what year that change was made from the standard green coolant.
G-05 can be a bit hard to find at the local auto parts store. You may have to go the Ford dealership to get it or try NAPA.

After a little digging. I found that it looks like Ford made the change to G-05 in 2002. So the standard green should be the way to go

Check your owners manual for the specified coolant.
If you don't have an owners manual, you can down load one from a link in the Tech Info page atop this forums thread listing page.
Or use a 50/50 mix of distilled water & a ethylene glycol coolant like Ford #E2FZ-19549-AA, or one that says on it's container that it meets or exceeds Ford spec ESE-M97B44-A.
These are generally green in color, so it sounds like you may already have what you need on hand.
