I,m gonna ask a dumb question here but what kinda anti freeze do i get for 2000 mod,3.0 ranger.I went to auto zone and the 2 employees almost got into an argument over which type to use.I have 2 gallons of the green type but not sure if thats what i need,appearently they have 2 or 3 types.Thanks for your time.
Check your owners manual for the specified coolant.
If you don't have an owners manual, you can down load one from a link in the Tech Info page atop this forums thread listing page.
Or use a 50/50 mix of distilled water & a ethylene glycol coolant like Ford #E2FZ-19549-AA, or one that says on it's container that it meets or exceeds Ford spec ESE-M97B44-A.
These are generally green in color, so it sounds like you may already have what you need on hand.
Color is not always a good way to select a coolant. Just because a coolant is green does not necessarily mean it's the standard green coolant with silicates that older vehicles need.
