I just purchased a '92 Bronco. I would like to remove the hardtop (it's damaged). The Bronco also has no rear seat, and I don't plan to add one. I would like some sort of "top" (really just a back) to make the Bronco similar to a 2 seat pickup truck. The desired result would be similar to an early Bronco half-cab. Is there anything available, or will I have to fabricate something? I did a search before asking, and after exploring all the links I could find, I couldn't locate what I'm after. Help, guys! Thanks.
I've herd of other people that have wanted to do that but i think it would be a custom job. Like a fiberglass shell, it could look sweet when its done.
The skyler soft top makes the Bronc look like a truck with a back window and everything.... I don't think they are making any right now, but check on Ebay. No drilling either, but it uses velcro, so you may want to get an alarm system.
I have the Skyler fastback softtop on my Bronco (and an alarm) and LOVE it!!! .It is basically a flat tonneau cover with a plastic window for the back of the cab. It does attach with velcro to the mounting brackets that bolt to the factory-hardtop holes. I bought mine used, and they're not being made or sold for now by Skyler (www.skylercorp.com) but were $600 new. Look for one on ebay and other classifieds, but act fast 'cause they don't stay up for long! Another company called Kayline (now Specialty Top Co.) makes a similar style of top that fastens with snaps. Instead of mounting a strip of velcro to the tailgate, you have to drill holes for the mounting bracket. You may still be able to get one of these from Jeff's Bronco Graveyard for about $400. PM or e-mail me if you have further ?'s, Randy
