i have a c6 on the back of a 460 with a np 205 t-case. i got a like brand new b&m mega shifter for it for $80. well where the linkage was suposed to mount to the pan bolts was right in the way of the front drive shaft. so i did a little modification to the bracket, well when i go to shift it out of park the shifter drops into the reverse spot but the tranny does not. once i get into the neutral spot it is then in reverse. so im always one spot below what actual gear im in. idk what to do. its a pain the way it is, did anybody else have this problem?

All I did to mine was bend the bracket up( that bolted on with the two pan bolts) Sounds to me you just need to adjust the cable. I always just pull the cotter key out(at the trans linkage) and put the shifter and tranny in nutral, than adjust cable so it slips right into the hole.
How did u mod the stuff?
Also, does your shifter hhave two detents for park? The one I have does, so I put a screw in it as a stop so it didn't get pushed all the way into the 2nd park detent. Because that can stretch the shift cable and make it not line up right.
no i dont think it had two spots for park. but i just cut the part that the cable went through and raised it up like half an inch. raising it up that much only gave me like a quarter inch space between it and the driveshaft
I put an amc 360/727 in a 91 yj not long ago and we had the same problem. I ended up shorting the trans lever by drilling another hole in the lever next to the factory hole. Works great now. Sorry, no pics.
