There is a nice looking 99 or '00 F-350 Lariat CC 4x4 Longbed PSD at the local Ford dealer, and I don't know the miles or price yet, but my grandfather did find out that the owner was trying out an '03 so the papers on that one do not make it for sale yet. My question, is, are there more advantages besides fuel mileage and low-end with that truck than with my 95 (read signature for details)? The salesman had told my grandfather that he thought my '95 got around the same mileage (or something like that) the '99 PSD does. Also, are there any problems with the 99-01 SD's such as tranny problems (I have heard of a few) that I should be aware of? The main reason I'm considering this truck is that it would get twice the mileage that my 460 does, and with the possiblity of war in an oil producing country, that means gas prices will skyrocket. I'd just like to hear from those who have diesels and know about the 460's enough to give some advice whether it would be better to keep the '95 or go for the '99? Thanks for the input.

Have you driving the truck? once you drive it one time that well tell you the big diffrence and will answer your questions.As for the tranny issue yes their has been some problems but not many.and for the price of fuel yikesssssssssss we all will be paying at the pumps iam in tx and deisel is about the same price as gas. Just take a test drive then you can decide. take care cya
