2002 F250 VSM Issues/ Remote Keyless entry
I have a problem with my remote keys that will not program. Ford Tech said that I needed a new VSM. What is that and where is it located? Anybody switched that out?

VSM Programming
I program Ford Modules using the IDS and did one yesterday on a 2005 F150. The VSM, vehicle security module, is located against the back cabin wall behind the seat, driver or rear passenger if it's a quad cab. It must be configured using the IDS, with doors closed and unlocked, then activated by opening and closing the driver, and activating the door locks. I didn't know at the time, but if you have a keyless entry, you must enter that code before opening the drivers door, or the alarm will go off and the
vehicle will not start.
