Programming VSM

Other than taking my 02 f250 to the dealer to get the new VSM programmed does anyone have an idea of what tool it would take to program it at home. Does it program through the OBDII port our is there actually a ford specific tool that plugs into the unit itself. I figure if it goes through the OBDII its a tool I can use later too, worth buying. Thanks guys

It isn't a simple computer....It's a dealer only programmer. You can't afford it if you COULD get it....and I doubt if Ford would 'sell' you the updates....

As far an I know only the Ford testers can do it. Some private shops like mine have this, but most won't. It is done throught the OBD port.
