I will check what I have in the rear, ultimately just looking for that "extra" jolt to get around the slower guys in front of me...

''Extra jolt''? If you want that ''extra jolt'' then you can put a shift kit in your C-6 to keep it from slipping between shifts. I did with mine and it gives me that ''extra jolt'' when it shifts.

What did that cost, and how difficult is it to do? Did you do it yourself or have someone do it for you?

I think it was around $60 for the kit, but I had a trusty tranny shop install it. Didn't cost a lot either...want to say around $150 for the install.

this is your first problem. ALL C6s used a vacuum modulator, so you need to get that hooked up. you will find it on the passengers side of the trans on the back right above the pan rail. Hook it to manifold vacuum. This is what helps set the line pressure. Without it being hook up the pressure is always maxed out putting max pressure on your pump making it work harder then neccesary and drawing more HP then it needs to. Probably won't make enough difference to make you happy with the power but still needs corrected.
