wierd idling problems

wierd idling problems
i have to hold the pedal all the way to the floor to get it to start then itll idel real high and for about 5 minutes then itll idle fine and runs perfect. The TPS and somthing else on the throttle body has been changed but i cant remeber what its called its on the throttle body oh yeah its a 1993 4x4 5.0 with a five speed

ya must be talking about the IAC (idle air control) mounted on the throttle body.
Have you given her a tune-up?

My 5.0 started acting like this and it turned out to be a bad coolant temp sensor to the computer.

could be a fuel pump, or believe it or not even an ignition switch. my buddy has a 302 that would do the exact same thing. we did the pump, didnt do anything. did relays and well, it was the ignition switch suprisingly

got the clutch put in it today got some decent rims and tires on it test drove it then parked it,, now its burning real rich and idel high on start up then itll idel fine and wont run rich
