What brand hitch is it? I have a Draw Tight and it fits pretty snug under there. I like it because it doens't hang down. I had a similar issue with the spare tire carrier. I cut the corner of the carrier off just enough to clear the reciever. I wouldn't make shims. I ground down the bumper brackets a little and then repainted them. Are you sure yours isn't contacting the bumper there?
I have not ever seen that brand before. It looks very similar to my draw tight, but the ends of mine are welded. I guess those spacers will work. You would think since they designed them for our trucks that they would fit a bit better.
yea its not off by much... nothing a washer couldnt fix but y buy washers when i have steel laying around... i would post progress pics threw the week but i cant down at dads...

trying to get sway bars on too... so lots to do lol
oem for now.... but after market maybe this spring... i still need the clamps that go around the axle and the brackets that go under the front springs....so im going to the junk yard tomorrow to see what i can find
