I have the chance to get 3 remanufactured stage 1 injectors for $100. They were rever installed after they were remanufactured. I figure it may be a good idea to get a few extra for parts incase I have a couple bad solenoids or bad nozzles or whatever. I plan on doing my injectors this winter when my truck isn't going to get used much and my work schedule isn't as busy.
What do you guys think?
PS: I plan on using Rosewood's DIY kit to rebuild mine along with machined intensifier pistons...and of course Valve Cover Gaskets, UVC Harnesses, and glow plugs. I'm thinking about fabbing up an intercooler too because I can probably get a 6.0 intercooler cheap.
I'm probably going to buy them. I was wondering why I couldn't find the DIY kits on Jim's site. It's no big deal though, I'll just go with Stage 1 Budget Built and if any of my injectors need any spare parts I'll have extra parts.
Thanks Guys!
Typically the shops that reman the injectors for Ford throw new parts in them but don't correct the tolerances and they often don't even work. I'd get them for sure at that price, especially if they have never been fired and keep them for spared or include them in the 8 to be built.
Jim- I went and bought the injectors tonight and it turned out they came from you! It said Rosewood Diesel on the box and it even had the receipt in with them, I was excited when I saw this! It says on the receipt that they are Stage 1 Budget Built and they were ordered 10/13/09. I'm going to include them with the ones in my truck to send to you.
Hmmm...I wonder why only 3 of them.
??
FWIW those are overhauled and not reman.
I'd like to get more info from you, if you could email or pm the previous owner's name, customer number (from the receipt), and the numbers etched on the side of the injectors.
Thanks. sales@rosewooddieselshop.com
