Disc brakes moan

My F-350, 2003 has moaning problem (oooooh sound), at slow speed with light pressure on pedal, increased pressure stops sound. I determined it occurs on rear disc brakes. I have done removal, lubed the slide pins, put pads back on. The reason being for not replacing yet, is these pads look new. I also lubed and checked out emergency brake cables for dragging.

Sounds normal to me. My truck does the same thing. Light brake pressure while at a stop with the truck in gear, sometimes the truck will creep forward and the brakes make a moaning sound.More brake pressure stops the sound.

Are the rotors new? My truck did that for a while after replacing the rotors. I usually ask that the new rotors be turned before installation to prevent it, but I forgot to request it last time. It gradually went away.

Watched Two Guys Garage today episode 1014 (on their site says 1015)and the showed a top calipher bolt with a stud on the end that a vibration dampner screws on that should take the dreaded moan that happens from about 20 mph down while braking. Says it is FOMOCO (stamped on part) and is on 2011-12 F150s and can be retro fitted to 150s-250s-350s.Have not found one on a 12 model truck yet -BUT only looked a about 40 trucks so far. Will talk to contacts with Ford this week and try to get a part # and price. To you who consider this normal-- I don't think you have really heard this loud moan. Not a groan noise while sitting at a stop light and lifting foot off lightly off brake pedel and pushing back down!! Blue
