Not sure what the heck you're talking about as an 81 shouldn't have a computer. If you're talking about engine build software, I use Desktop Dyno and have found it quite accurate compared to a dyno.
Well I dont need a software for the engine. I need software for designing the exterior of the truck, high lift tires, etc. I would like to see how my truck is going to look before working on it. any suggestions????
Pretty pictures are al lgood and well but anyone that draws a picture for you isn't going to address the important issues such as suspension design, method of lift, tire clearance, ride quality, ujoint angle, etc. If you want to do it figure out a plan and do it. Paint is the least of your concerns, anyone can paint a truck how you like it. Lift, tires, suspension, etc. is done based on what your goals are and intended use.
The software that can be used for your purpose is a draw program such as Adobe Illustrator or a photo manipulation program such as Adobe Photoshop or similar. Like Shark Racer said, a graphic designer might be able to provide you with an image you can use.
