Bosch Platinum 4
Electricity takes the less resistant path to ground. I find it hard to believe that every prong is exactly the same distance and resistance as the others. The ones that arent being used, will foul and become more resistant.
Amps and voltage make spark, by dividing up the spark youre getting less amps per prong. You arent getting any more spark than you had before, just moving it.
I am not wanting to hear about how much it helped your milege, or how much more power you have, unless you have done a dyno. Im just looking for an explaination of how this works better than a regular plug.

Anybody know if someones done a before/after dyno test, or emissions test comparing new stock plugs and the Bosch platinum 4s?
If not maybe i should write to a magazine and suggest a test. Could make for some interesting reading.
Thanks

Platinum plugs will not make better horsepower, better MPG, or better emissions. The only advantage to a platinum plug is longevity. With a good carb tune, a set can last 100, 000 mi. That's why the factories are running them OEM and in some cases claim 100K between tune ups.
A good ol' copper core plug will throw a hotter spark (given the same ignition system) and won't foul as easily. The right copper plug WILL give you better MPG and performance.
