AutoVision rear seat entertainment system stuck in CDDJ mode
I have a 2003 E350 Chateau Club Wagon with a premium in-dash six cd sound system and a AutoVision rear seat entertainment system - VCR model. All OEM equipped when I custom ordered the van new in 2003. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com

When I turn on the radio the rear entertainment console is stuck in CDDJ mode and will not allow me to toggle to other media sources like the vcp, CD, FM1, FM2, AM or AUX. <o></o>

The radio and cd functions works fine. I can insert, play and eject cd's with no problem, all functions of radio works fine except for the ability to toggle control to the rear entertainment system. This is normally done by holding down the 3 & 5 preset buttons on the radio. Nothing happens when I try to hold down the 3 & 5 preset controls on the radio. I am also not getting the head phone symbol on the radio like I use to. <o></o>

When I run the radio test by holding down the 3 & 6 preset buttons, it goes through the speaker test and then I get a no cddj error. I never had a CDDJ unit; somehow my radio thinks it's missing a CDDJ unit. <o></o>

I checked all connections radio and rear entertainment system connections. I also replaced the AudioVison control board in the rear entertainment system and I still have the same problem, this set me back $200.00 as was very hard to find, only 2 Ford dealers in the country had one. <o></o>

Can this be an issue with the radio? I would hate to dish out the money for a new radio to only find out I still have the the same problem. I am trying to find someone with the same radio to test and determine if my radio is bad. This is driving me crazy, I have a 2 and a 3 year old who love to watch the videos when traveling.
