Ugh. I need to do this as well. These are the only parts I didn't replace in my build and now I have a bit of wear front inside. Dreading doing this stuff with winter coming on and not much time for projects these days.

While I was doing all of the injector work, I had the wheels off, I noticed the drivers tie end ball joint is worn, and loose, and I lost the pitman arm boot a while back. Honestly I bought that fork from H/F, everything just came apart easily.

Replaced the passenger side exhaust studs. One really loud leak on the rear cylinder and one minor leak on the front cylinder. Had three broken studs (all at the manifold, not down in the head) Luckily those came out with a stud extractor and some patience and PB Blaster. Replaced with the TSB updated studs. The dealer tried to sell me the old style and had no info on the TSB and superseded part numbers. I had to do the research myself to get the correct, copper coated stainless steel studs.

TSB 09-22-8 STAINLESS STEEL EXHAUST STUDS—5.4L AND 6.8L TSB 09-22-8 2V ENGINES
W703902-S403 Stainless Steel Stud
W701706-S2 Nut

Nice and quiet. Now the wife will want to ride in it again.

got the 02-04 clear headlights and turn signals installed. Like the look a lot better. now to add a headlight relay set to give really give it the beans. or ... beams

Also got new wiring jumpers for the mirrors that @Antonm gave me... odd setup on my Ex with the turn signal but no marker light, I actually had to de-pin a wire from the ones he included (which just had the mirror motor wires) and then add it to a set of amazon jumpers. got the turn signal working, but the marker light will just have to wait until I give enough of a damn to add it back from the car side wiring

very low priority on that.

Upgraded my hitch, what a PITA, I have a aluminum diff cover from a later model truck which had to be removed in order to get the tank back in, not sure why the instructions have you remove the bumper, I did not have to
