Michael, add one to your Ex and plow your way through Miami traffic... From what I remember, the traffic is no fun at all down there.

I'm debating on bringing in some stainless steel DXT's this season, we have not brought any in yet because of the cost...but more then a few customers have asked for them.

The wheels that were on the Vette were 17" OZ's that really dated the car, very early 90s looking. The new wheels look so good on there and makes it so much more modern.

Yes it would. But for the same reason when you stop driving like that it will take longer to cool back to it's normal temperature because it takes longer for the extra 8 quarts to cool. So what have you gained? A lower temperature spike, but not a lower average temperature. Is that worth the money for the pan and extra fluid? Not to me it isn't.
Thanks Mark!

Thank you Mark. I really hoped that you chime in.....
....and I have to say that I didnt think about the extra cooling time of the extra fluid.
So the only reason for a MagHytec Pan is the temperatur sensor...and if you are goodwilling a higher stability if you use longer screws. Otherwise you can do both mods on the OEMPan as well. So I will think this part over.......since my Name is Michael, but with a lot less funds.

Afterall Im on the right way by upgrading to a 31row cooler, a thermostate and a JW Valve body to keep my average Temps down.
Any further advices? A Billet triple disc TC, maybe?
Any things I had to change, swap or check while Im in the 4R100? Miles are 83k.

@Stewart
Its proofed now that Im a dumpass and obviously missed some Physics Lessons in school. :/

Can't wait for the white stuff next year!!
After having the most snow in the last 60 years, I can wait quite awhile for the next douse of white stuff. We still have snow melting here!

Looking great though, very clean.

German Mike, If you were looking at the MagHytec pan for the extra capacity (that Mark has explained the minus side of) and the temp sensor port (which I think would read the fluid in the pan temp, not the actual trans fluid "hot" temp) have you considered using the test port on the trans body for an accurate "hot" fluid temp before it goes to the cooler?
Here's my trans temp sensor (brass fitting with black & white wires behind the wire loom) installed in the test port, driver's side of trans just above the pan rail right at the cable brackets.

Keith, You do realize now that you've made the investment in that sweet plow that Boston won't be getting any snow for the next two years right?

well, this should be a productive weekend if the weather holds out.

I love POR-15, I just hate paying for it.
This weekend will be dropping the tank, removing hitch and dropping the axle. A quick wire brushing and slathering everything with por 15 to hold the surface rust at bay, replacing the rear shackles, installing the new hitch, and repainting the tank and skid and reinstalling that. While I'm at it, I'll drop a couple brackets on the new hitch for lights and the factory tow plug....gonna be a long weekend

I don't like that reason, either.

The testing I did while at Ford showed that the test port on the side of the transmission is a much better place for the temperature sensor than anywhere in the pan. The pan is the coolest location in the trans, and often quite inaccurate. You'd expect the temperature to be consistent in the pan, but it is not. AFT can get stagnant in some areas and stay cool for a long time after the trans is getting much hotter.
