What did you do to the X today?
Installed the Roadmaster Active Suspension and Rancho 9000's on the back yesterday. I'll try and get the new shocks on the front today.
Any Ex owners have to install the extension on the RAS? I installed it without it on the first time but it just touching the block on the inside of the spring so I removed it and put it back together with the extension.

Sway bar is installed. Had to remove an Ebrake cable hanger. Makes me curious what the factory did for a sway bar on the X? Oddly the heat shield in front of the shock was already short enough to clear the sway bar but way to long and overhung the sway bar mount location on the rear differential. All bolted up great after cutting the shield down. Took it for a drive and honestly can't tell much difference. The only thing I noticed so far is very much reduced side to side rocking after hitting some odd bumps. I'll see if it helped any for the TT pulling.
Just in for lunch now and naturally left the camera in the shop so pics will be later.

No heat shield issues though. This is the Hellwig swaybar.
I just fixed my rear door latch, noticed it wasn't locking a while back and squirted some wd40 on it. It worked for a while but noticed it wasn't locking again. So I took it out and lubed it up.

got this from the tech folder, I didn't do a write-up heh heh. Seems to be working well though.

Here is the shield on mine. I have seen pictures of others that had to cut off the top to clear the sway bar. You can see mine will clear for height but is to wide and covers the stock sway bar mount location on the rear diff.
We'll take off just a tad.
You can see the red bushing threw the hole in the frame, that is where the second ebrake cable hanger was. I removed it and bent the further back hanger (in picture) inward so the ebrake cable is on the bottom of the frame instead of the side.
You can see barely enough clearance for the sway bar on top and I took off just enough to clear the sway bar to rear diff mount.
Hey look at that, pinion seal.
