I couldn't get mine started yesterday. Plugged her in over night and she fired right up this morn. Could that be because of the plugs under the valve covers?

Can I use bondo on chrome bumper?

I'll do a head on and I'll throu in a coule angles also. I kind of got an idea of what it would look like by looking at this picture (below). I'm also gonna be painting the bumpers flat black.
I have a quick question.
I have a dent on my bumper about the size of a softball (picture below). I know there is no way to knock it back in shape with a hammer without it looking like the face of the moon, but can I use bondo to fill it, shape it, sand it smooth then painted?

I've never used bondo on a chrome bumper but I figured if I sand the area really good so that the bondo bonds better to the surface I could make it work but I'm not 100% sure. I read a couple of threads on line about the subject and it didn't give me any clarity.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Really? She wouldn't start?

The UVCH shouldn't have too much to do with that, next time be sure to cycle the key a few times and it should get going alot easier.

Head over to walmart after work today and get you some of this:

Walmart.com: Diesel Kleen Plus Cetane Boost, 16 oz: Automotive

It helps with cold cold starts and should net you some better power and fuel economy.

I'm using Howe's Diesel Treat and while it works wonders as far as lubing things up and really quieting down the injectors, it doesn't seem to help with cold cold starts...maybe I just needed to cycle the key 3 times...

Howes Lube Products 103060-1/2 - Diesel Treatment | O'Reilly Auto Parts

I'd almost be tempted to mix the two, but I'd try some Diesel Kleen first.

I've been running the DK, started about 3 tanks ago. I did cycle the key at least 4-6 times and still nada.

IIRC the glow plug pins are the outer pins and if the UVCH plug is a little open, the two pins on that end may not be making contact. So you may not have all the plugs heating up. There's a good pic in this thread that shows the pins, https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...enter-pin.html

Also, just leave the key on well after the WTS light goes off. The plugs should stay on for up to twp minutes.

Thanks for the info. I did leave the key on for the two minutes, but I did it quite a few times and no luck. I've read about the twp minute deal.

Painted the undercab. Did a coolant flush. I feel bad I hadn't done it sooner, the old stuff was nasty. Also confirmed my suspicion of a bad COP. When I started it this morning it was fluttering for a minute or till warm. I thought I might have heard it last time I drove it - now Its a fact. Dang one thing after another. It seems like the more attention I give the truck, the more it wants!! Dear Santa, New COP'S please.

The man in the brown shirt and shorts came by this evening and dropped off a couple of boxes.

The last known in existence 2001 Headlight Switch with fog lights, Thanks Gerry!

Bilstein 5100 Steering Stabilizer replacement!

I guess I'll just have to wait until Friday to get them installed!

I couldn't get my self to commit to painting the grill all black today, I thought about it all day long but kept getting discouraged by the wife wanting a Lil shinny bumper .. I'm not the shinny type of guy so . But I wanted to see what it would look like so I did a Lil photo-shop magic and this is what I came up with.

im not sure I wanna do this just yet. I'll wait till I get my new tires first.
