Death wobble

First time I've had it was this morning on the way to work. only for a short distance, but it sure surprised me. I've done some searching on the forum and will jack it up to have a look this evening. (wheel bearings, bushings, tie rods, etc) Going to swap tires front to back first as I think I may have a problem with the driver's front tire anyway. I'll keep you posted. Any other quick pointers?
I was planning on replacing the steering stabilizer soon anyway, so that shouldn't hurt either. Should I go with the double, or stay with the stock single?

I kind of like the doubles, but the only times those are really needed is when doing some serious hammering off road. I have a single on mine, and it did pretty good for bouncing through the pastures!

with 37's i'd go with doubles, even for onroad. there are big potholes out there and it only take4s one to induce wobble. you've covered the basics, dont forget to check the crossmember up front that the motor mounts are attached to. particularly the drivers side where it mounts to the frame rail near the steering box. seen plenty of them bust the welds and you cant see it until you are laying underneath with someone workin the wheel

That's kinda what I was thinking about the 37's, Joe. Hadn't thought of the crossmember. I'll have a look tonight.
It was a pothole that got it going.
Thanks guys.

Swapped tires front to back and it's like driving a different truck. I knew the front drivers tire was a problem, but wow! Other than that, the front end seems nive and tight. I was pleased with that. And, I forgot to check the crossmember..... D'oh!
