I'm a rookie when it comes to bleeding brakes on my PSD but I've done it several times on my dirt bike. I've got a Mighty Vac. There are serveal different models. The one I ended up with was under $40, hand opperated with numerous attachments/adaptors. Available at most auto parts stores. I think that I got mine at Harbor Freight locally.
I sure wish that I had it when I did my clutch hydraulics a year ago.
Humm, I just put a hose on the bleeder and the end of the hose in a bucket, then open the bleeder and let it bleed. I make sure the fluid tank stays full. I do this to all the wheels and never had a problem.
I gravity bleed mine most of the time too. If the wife or child or neighbor is around I'll have them push the pedal for me. I tried that Mityvac and have one, I personally find the effort of cleaning it and hooking it up isn't worth it.
Pressure bleeding is a better way than vacuum bleeding.
This is what I use Pressure Brake Bleeder
I have known a few guys that will make one out of a Plastic garden sprayer but I like the ease of the store bought bleeder, besides I got the one with all the adapters for various vehicles.
