How do you know you guessed the previous owners personal code and not the master code?

You don't. You must have the master code first. Then you can reset the secondary code to whatever you want.

Well I may have to disable the remote entry till I can reset the codes.

Well, is it the primary code or the secondary? If it's the secondary, just keep using that list until you find the primary number and then reset the secondary.

This is what I followed and found mine. You will a flash light and a small mirror then tie your self into a pretzel!!

Its not really that bad, but it did work!!

So which of those numbers is it? A door code ends with 1 or 2 but does the master code need to if all it does is give you access. So what is the proceedure for resetting the user code using the factory code?

In the picture the "35797" is the master code.
To program your personal code, enter the master code, then press the 1/2 button within 5 seconds, then enter your personal code.
