I don't have the codes for the keyless entry thing for the 2000 Excursion I just bought. I read the with other models like the Expedition that the codes were hidden in certain places on the vehicle. Does anyone know where they are on the Excursion?
So what happens when you get the correct sequence. I guess you use the last 4 numbers that you entered before it opened the door? I don't know if my ADD mind can concentrate for that long LOL.
take the trash bag holder off, and look up and to the left, there should be a 5 digit number there. If not, there are several other threads for locating the code inside your vehicle without having to punch in 1000 numbers.
Funny this subject came up. Last night the wife and I were at a dealership looking at cars for her. We were looking at a Lincoln MKZ and I just punch 4 random numbers into the keypad. The doors unlocked! Stroke of luck I tell you.
I just start entering numbers until something happens? Once something happens, then what?? Is that my master code, then can I use the "special sequence" to program a personal code??
How do I change the personal code to something else without the master code? The personal code was obvious and is not secure that way. It is not secure the way it is considering I guessed it in one try.
