Tranny Temp gauge?
Hello all,
I have a stock 2001 f250 5.4 4x4 with auto tranny....I would like to put in an aftermarket temp gauge, but I have no idea where to put the sensor for the new gauge...I have looked all over the tranny and I don't see any place to put it (screw in type).
Any suggestions?

I am planning on doing that to my truck also. Mine is even the same year as yours with the same motor. Mine is a 2WD so I don't know if this pic will be the same. On the driver side you will see what looks like a bolt sticking out of the tranny just above the pan. I hope this helps.

Okay,
I looked and that is the spot alright...anyone know what size bolt hole that is so I know what size to buy? I would take the bolt with me...but there is fluid behind it.
