Ok i know if I look I can probably figure it out but im at work LOL. anyway, I am going to replace the timing cover gasket but was wondering if I can do it without draining antifreeze. the water jacket doesnt connect with that at all does it? and I dont have to drop the pan either do I?
Thanks
no you won't have to drain the coolant, but you may want to pull the rad. it can get in the way when you're working down there and be a pita. the shop manual tells you to pull the rad, but it's up to you.
It's not up to you. It's up to how much room you have between your v. dampener puller and the rad. Cheers.
Words of wisdom: If you're changing the crank seal in the cover, buy the seal installers from Summit racing. Or, you could possibly do it twice. As they say in Mexico: if you don't get what you want, you get experience. I have experience with this.
But hopefully you have to latter block with the pin guides. Whuss.
Ok thanks I got it changed today. just used a block of wood for the seal and popped right in. it didnt have any guide pins but the install went super great and no leaks. thanks again
