installing the shackle leveling kit from sanderson welding proved to be a tougher task then expected...im looking for a place in the clinton, nj area that would install one and i have been calling around and there saying that it isn't something they would install...i need the kit put on and i am at a loss...i have new tires 315x75x16 waiting in my basement for me to get this kit put on...don't know where to go or what to do....
thank you for all ur responses...i ran into a problem getting one of the bolts loose and i really don't have an extra set of hands readily available to help me...i spoke with one of my employees boyfriends tonight and he is willing to help me out...he has a bunch of stuff at his parents house and is willing to do it sunday with me. The biggest problem is the fact that I am still in the process of really getting all the tools necessary to work on my truck as much as i would like to and if something doesn't work or I need something I literally have to put the entire truck back together and drive (this truck is my only vehicle) to get what I need. I think it will go smoothly sunday and I am excited to get everything together that I need...thank you and pics are soon to come...Sunday leveling kit and tuesday mounting new tires and tuesday afternoon blacking out the wheels and stacks...
yesssssssss!!!!! yesterday went extremely well...having air tools and extra set of hands makes this task extremely easy...my friend, his father, and I were able to get this apart, installed and back together in just under 2 hours...one thing we did run into a problem with that I haven't seen on this forum at all is if you have put a 4 inch downpipe on the turbo it does get in the way so we had to remove it to allow us to pull the bolt on the top passenger shackle...a pry bar makes this job a lot easier and we were able to do it without disconnecting the track bar. tomorrow i will have the tires mounted, balanced, and aligned. pics to come soon...
don't know if these are going to appear if you click on them but i will add them to my photo album in a second...leveling kit done, 315 75 16 tires on, grill painted flat black as well as the front and rear bumpers...i was going to black out the stacks and wheels but i kinda like them shiny lol...thank you everyone for all your help
