Engine Swap in a Lightning

hi,

I just bought a 94 f150 short box, it has the original inline 6, which im guessing produces around 120 hp being tired and such, thats why im considering more power!

for the v10 do you need the computer to make it run, is it complicated to set it up?

- or would a 302 be a better fit ? - im not worried about the fuel economy since ill be driving it less than 500 miles a year :P

both engines should yield about 350 hp, maybe a bit more, depending on what goodies i put in it

anyways, hope you guys can help !

Yep! I would love to find a nice 97 F350 with a blown engine and drop a V10 in there. I love the 99-04 Super Duty body style but also love the 92-97 style and it would be one of a kind.

Do you think it would be better to put in a 3v engine and put on a turbo ?

or like what you mentioned and put a screw blower?

im wondering cause with the 3v its a newer, better engine that has at least 50 hp over the 2v without doing anything to it....

yeah, i just got the 92-97 body, love them to pieces! my brother t boned it a while back, written off for sure... walked away no scratches... that truck was bulletproof ! re replaced it with a 2005 f250 - and i wont let my brother drive it :P

What's not to love about 1.8 liters more displacement?

YET ?!?! are they in the process of making a v10 set up ?

i was thinking of doing a ferrari style of intake basically 2 long tubes with ports in each cylinder.... any thoughts on that ? - then weld them together creating an opening for the blower so it would look something like this ....

/----\ <---- yes i have mad skills , thats the intake

yeah its probably not the greatest sketch but Im pretty sure it would work

here is a link to what im envisioning, except with a hole for a blower between the horse logo

The Ferrari F430
