I hope someone can help me. I have the above truck. I replaced the transmission last year with one from craigslist. It has been working great for over 10,000 miles but it just started not going into gear. The shifter goes limp like the cable is not hooked up. The first time It did this I tapped on the lever that goes into the transmission and it went into gear and worked fine the rest of the day. The next day it did it again but then after a little while it was ok. It did it again this morning and after sitting for a half hour it started working again. (Tapping on the lever doesn't seem to help) Any ideas on what this may be and what kind of fix? This is my work truck (Buckett) and I can't afford to have it down. I can't afford to spend a lot on a repair also. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
