240 No Go

I can crank my 1966 240 cid all day long and no start. pulled number one plug out and saw a spark when i grounded it and cranked the engine, so i assume spark is ok. Timing should be good as the truck was running when parked. The points, condenser, wires, rotor, cap and plugs were all replaced and the truck was running after they were done. Now, after sitting, the old motor doesnt want to start. It has a clear fuel filter and fuel is going up to the carb. I even tried starting fluid, but the old thing wouldnt give in. My wife would love to see this six-banger run so we dont have to go with a 460. Anyone have any ideas?

what color is your spark? My old '67 won't start with orange spark, it has to be blue. Is your coil or resistor bad?
