The one-ton Ford F-350 dual-rear-wheel is getting hardware improvements that will increase maximum payload and maximum fifth-wheel towing to best-in-class levels. Increased use of high-strength steel in the frame will boost the maximum payload to 7,070 pounds, up from 6,520 pounds, and max fifth-wheel towing to 22,600 pounds, up from 21,600 pounds.
There's no increase in conventional towing and payload for F-250 and F-350 single-rear-wheel trucks or the F-450 pickup. Current owners of F-350 DRWs will not be able to retrofit their trucks to the new towing and hauling figures. Only 2011 Job 2 F-350 duallys will carry the higher ratings.

I was just looking on the Ford Fleet website and they have the new Job 2 options listed. The trucks can be ordered with a roll up tonneau cover for $330.00, dual hedrest DVD monitors for $1,995.00!!! wow, and something that has me confused, option 43B is a "Heated backlight & rear window defroster" for $155.00. Does anyone have any idea what a heated backlight is?

My son the Ford diesel tech tells me the J2 will have a new front cover on the engine permiting the gerotor oil pump to be serviced without the front cover having to be replaced each time as with the J1. Should make this repair cheaper if you're out of warranty.

I just talked to the dealership about the re-flash at lunch. He said Job #2 are coming in to his lot most likely next week.

I ordered my new 2011 Ford Truck 3 weeks ago. Still no build date. I wonder if I will be getting a Job2 or not? If I am, I wonder if I can add the extra options on the Job2? I would like the DVD Players and the Heated Rear Window if I could add those options to my order.

" is a 10,000 LB GVWR for the F-350 only; it is a downgrade. Probably related to taxes and registration. see page 10 or 2011 Superduty Order Guide.Bob

This link will take you to the Sunrise Ford Fleet website, ProFleetSales.com - Professional Fleet Sales of Ford Cars, SUVs and Trucks!, then click on "Quick Links" and then "Build & Price". When you are done building your truck you can create a brochure and it will give the weight of the truck as built to the pound, but the site is not quite up to date for the 2011's, so you won't get this info for a 2011 yet.
