Drive shaft help
I'm replacing all my u-joints and carrier bearing,95k on them, I keep reading about marking the drive shaft before removing. Can anybody shed some light on exactly what I should be doing. Please be specific if possible I'm mechanical, but not familiar with all names of parts. Thanks

You want to make sure you put all the pieces back together the same way they came apart. To make sure that happens, put alignment marks on each side of the u-joint yokes, the slip yokes, the tranny output shaft, and the diff input shaft. And if you're going to have it all apart at once, you might want to mark which end of the main shaft goes forward, so it doesn't inadvertently get flipped end for end.
