[updated:LAST EDITED ON 27-Oct-02 AT 11:30 PM (EST)]i went to visit the college i want to go to, Penn college, Penn tech, in williamsport, Pa and i decided to go into the automotive technology major, but i will take the Ford assest program. this will net me 8 weeks of training at the campus and 8 weeks as working as a service tech for a local dealer. that cycle will rotate on a 8-week basis. when i graduate i will be a certified Ford technician (yay me). i will then take classes at night for advanced auto technology which will included high performance engine building, dyno, fabraction. cant wait till the fall 2003 semseter of college . anyone else here a ford technician? if u have AIM plz message me.
i would also like to take the disiel training up there so i have 2 majors under my belt and will be able to do almost everyhing.
Penn college is a good school, I graduate from there 3 yrs ago. Don't know too much about the automotive part I was in HVACR. From what I've heard and seen it was pretty good. Still can't figure out why they removed the heads to swap a tranny though???? I'd definately recommend going there though. The dorms are nice, but if you have the chance take a place off campus. I had one with a 200ft walk. PCP was starting to crack down on drinking in the dorms when I left, few friends found out the hard way
