2002 7.3 Glow Plug Relay problem

2002 7.3 Glow Plug Relay problem
I replaced my Glow Plug Relay on my 02 F250 7.3 and I could not get my vehicle to shut off. I had to disconnect the batteries to kill it. I was using an after market relay. Could it be a faulty relay or perhaps something else? I replacd my old relay and it started and shutoff just fine. Any help or suggestions would be great. Thanks!

I would say you either have the wrong or defective relay

Agreed. If it works without it and then you install it and thats the only changes you make then I would say its either the wrong one or its defective.

You can swap the relay with the intake heater.If that works you will know for shore
