I am trying to figure out what the connector on the passenger side of the engine compartment behind the battery is for. There is a large female connector, the male connector only has one wire (black/green I think) that comes out and back into the same connector.
The reason I am asking is because it seems some animal (mouse) has made a home in there and has chewed up some of the wires which are now bare. I tried as best as possible to wrap with electrical tape, but probably not as good as it should be.
Just curious what the connector is for. Wonder if it has anything to do with the "TBC Fault" error I am receiving on the dash. If not it might be the light bar I spliced into the trailer connector a couple of years ago.
tbc fault. Mine does the same thing. When you hit a bump in the road, or when you start the truck, or when you barely touch the slide lever it does it. I would like to fix this issue also. sorry for the hijack
