i have a friend with a diesel f-350. he already has 20000 on these tires and loves them.he is a contractor and hauls and tows with the truck. some long hauls and a buch of off road driving on sites and just for fun. he got the tires 6 months ago as a test. he knows a tire vendor and got them before they were even on the market. as far as i can tell they are a one off of the duratracs

You want something with a little bit more thread around the sidewalls check out these. They are new but I don't care I am going to be a test dummy for my local shop to see how they do under multi use driving. Towing, Hauling, Off road, on road (city & highway).

Well the size I am going with will be 295/70/18's they are about 34.5" so a nice size tire. The price is still up in the air because I will be a test dummy for them in this area. My local shops is going to cut me a break on the tire but I have to bring it to them for rotation every 5k. Not a bad deal because I would have to rotate them anyway this will just make sure I do it on time. The reason they were willing to do this is because i am a contractor as well and see a lot of different types of roads on a regular basis. Very similar to your friend.

yeah it seems to be a good deal, and if you just have to bring them back to show them the wear it is worth the trouble to save some $.my buddy is working on getting me tires as a "tester", maybe i will try those new nittos too. they say 285/70/17 is all i can fit stock, but i bet the 295/70/17 will fit.

It will fit but it will rub some I am willing to bet unless you have a leveling kit.

On a side note i have my recon lights on order and will hopefully be installing them next week. Also have a Bully Bed Side Step coming for my truck.

The leveling kit is awesome! looks great and rides smoother, plus they fixed my allignment which needed to be done.. Also, I'm getting my tires installed tomorrow so I'll throw up some pictures then (I promise) And I'm about to drive to North Carolina Saturday so I can tell you all how they do on a long trip and in the sand

I have to check out those nitto tires. It seems the nitto brand is very popular on this site. Coskid thanks for the link. Those tires are sweet I think I know what I am getting next time I need a new set. I hope by then all of my mods will be done. I am definetly getting 35's next time.

Yeah Nittos are a great tire you can't go wrong. A fair number of people use the Terra Grapplers which are what are on my truck currently. ScrwDrvr uses the Dune Grapplers on his truck and they look pretty sweet.

I'm really impressed by these tires! they are pretty quiet during normal driving and once you get up to highway speeds the wind noise is louder than the tires. These tires ride a lot better than I was expecting and dont have any of the vibrations, excessive noise or shakiness I was scared they would. Also, they only rub the frame a little when at full lock but don't rub at all during normal driving.. so far I am impressed and extremely excited about my truck, it looks mean as hell!

Hummah Zach, is that a set of nittos on your truck? What kind if so? Truck looks sweet. Is that all you did was put a leveling kit on it? Also what do you mean when you say you get rubbing when fully locked up? Does that mean when you slam on the breaks real hard?
