electric fan kit?

I had purchased my electric fan from flex-a-lite. Now I wish that I had waited to get my single fan. That dual fan that Broncoguy89 posted covers almost all of the radiator and the fact that the tie downs don't pinitrate the radiator.

But I havn't had a problem with my single fan yet.

If you don't have the money to spend, wrecking yards almost give those fans away. Then all you would need is a thermostat kit. The one I bought was $25. Comes with senser, relay. instructions and wiring harness. Make your own mounting brackets and off you go. It's cheap enough that you could buy multiple fans and have a winter fan and summer/towing multi fan set up.

Another thing you'll need is replacement fan bolts to fasten the pulley on with. When you yank the old fan off the bolts will be too long without a lot of flat washers. I bought stainless, cause it looks cool when the engines spinning.

Do you know what car the donor fans came from? Where did you get your thermostat kit from?

electric fan kit?

My fan was laying on the ground. Don't know what it was out of. The guy at the place threw it in with some other stuff I was buying. After that, I looked around in other cars and saw everything newer has fans. I asked the guy that owns the yard about it and he said that fans aren't that big a deal to him. When someone wants a radiator, they pull it and leave the fan hanging.
I made mounting brackets out of some metal I had laying around.
The thermostate kit I bought at Knechts, but I think I've seen them at Autozone. Wish I knew where to get just the senser, rest of the kit is a standard relay and wiring. Relays aren't that hard to learn and you can do so much with them, like the headlight mod in the Tech section.

Exclamation electric fan kit?

I saw two earlier posts with a link to Brian Soderblom's fan install. I would highly suggest you check it out before purchasing any Flex a lite fan or similar product. Brian used a Lincoln Mark VIII fan (popular Mustang upgrade), which provides SIGNIFICANTLY more airflow than the fans you're considering. He does a great job laying out the entire process and has links to other installs.

This install looks really smooth, too.
