'92 E350 7.5L
I've developed a lifter knock and oil smell when letting off the gas. Thinking intake lifter after some help here. Right now Rislone is working but I still do hear it tiny bit.
I'm good with a wrench but not about to pull the engine on a van. How much time in labor should I expect to do a top end, all the gaskets and replace and reinstall on this beast. I will probably get the van repainted at the same time. I love this van and will likely keep it for a LONG time. I'm willing to spend some money seeing as it would be $7000+ to replace it.
How long is this trany good for? E4OD that has always been maintained and loved, but it does tow 8000+lbs a lot.
Ideas, opinions, mock, ridicule.....all are welcome.
